Okay, we all know it’s winter from the mounds of lovely white snow (and the sub-zero temperatures!) and Toronto is celebrating the winter season with a special 2-week festival called Wintercity starting this weekend!
Now in its 6th year, WinterCity is a festival happening at various outdoor and indoor venues in Toronto and features first-class entertainment, live music, and outstanding acrobatic and athelic performances. And don’t forget to stop and enjoy the fireworks at Nathan Phillips Square on weekend nights!

The Dutch Street Theatre‘s Close-Act features an amazing acrobatic act, singers, dancers and musicians all performing at Nathan Phillips Square. Enjoy live DJ music as you slide and skate on Friday nights to the beats by DJ Deko-ze and DJ Gene King. Come back this Satuday for live music performances by Thunderheist and Shad.
Another big ticket show will be happening at Nathan Phillips Square on Saturday February 7 with a live performance from Montreal band The Stills.

There will be indoor activities to warm you up such as poetry readings, tea tastings, and a very exciting sci-fi disco bash at nightclub Circa.

One Response to Winter Festival in Toronto: WinterCity

  1. Nanette says:

We went to Horizon’s last night at the CN Tower to try out their Winterlicious menu. It was pretty good! Dessert was great, waiter was not overly attentive. Of course the view was the best feature. Talking to the host, he was saying that Winterlicious is not as busy as anticipated so still time to book! Just a warning that it costs $10 per person for the elevator ride up and my wine was $11.50 per glass. ouch.
