For those of you who will be backpacking in the Toronto area in early February, you'll be interested to know that there is a winter food event in Toronto starting January 30 until Feb. 12!
Appropriately named Winterlicious, this food festival is a special event for 150 mid-range and high-end restaurants in Toronto. There are also bars and lounges on the list of participating restos.
What's Winterlicious? The participating 150 restaurants offer prix-fixe menus for lunch or dinner at very reasonable prices. That means that you can dine at world-famous restaurants in Toronto for a fraction of the prices. Some of the popular spots get snapped up fast, so if you know that you'll be in the area, book ahead. You can make reservations by calling the restaurant directly as of January 15.
Here's how it works: depending on the restaurant, the menu will be priced accordingly:
Prix fixe lunch menus are priced at $15, $20, or $30.
Prix fixe dinner menus are priced at $25, $35, or $45.
Some of the restaurants participating in Winterlicious 2009 are:
Centro Restaurant & Lounge
Biagio Ristaurante
Amaya's Bread Bar
Atelier Thuet
Beer Bistro
Crush Wine Bar
Mistura Restaurant
Pangea Restaurant
Rosewater Supper Club
and many more!
