Eating out in Toronto: Real Pizza from Naples

Looking for a great place to eat while you’re visiting Toronto? Pizzeria Libretto’s pizzas will take your tastebuds on a trip to Naples (and you may not want to leave!)

Pizzeria Libretto is the kind of restaurant that doesn’t claim to give you complicated ingredients. Instead, you’re looking at getting natural authentic-style pizza just the what it was invented in Naples, Italy. The restaurant bakes the pizza in a wood-fired oven hand made in Naples by a 3rd generation pizza oven maker.
The crust you’ll find here is from 100% organic stone flour and is baked to a perfect blistered crust. Spelt crust is also available if you have a wheat allergy. Count on authentic ingredients including San Marzano tomatoes and Fiore di Latte Mozzarella brought in fresh daily.
Chef Rocco Agostino has a lot of pizzas on the menu. If you’re a traditionalist, try the basic Margherita pizza which comes topped with tomatoes, basil, and mozzarella ($13) or the Quattro Stagione pizza, which is a vegetarian option with delicious toppings including tomatoes, mozzarella, cacciatore, Bella olives, mushrooms and artichokes ($15).

For those who like to try something different, we recommend the House-made Sausage pizza which has caramelized onions, mozzarella, chili oil, and Libretto’s own home made sausage ($15) or the Duck Confit pizza with Bosc pear, panna, and mozzarella ($15).

Finish the meal with a Gelati ($6) and you’ve got yourself one fine authentic Italian meal!

Ciao!
