Toronto's Earth Day Celebrations and Freebies


If you are going to be staying in Toronto this Earth Day, why not do a little extra for the cause and stay at the Toronto Hostel Backpackers on Dundas? Reduce your space, reduce your need for maids cleaning up rooms or suites after you and only you pack up and go, and, at our boutique hostel, we feature showers with environmentally friendly hot water on demand systems. We also provide full kitchen acess with cookware, dishes, glasses, and cutlery for you so you do not need to bring in take out containers and plastic utensils. South-East corner of Yonge and DundasBrita and their FilterForGood team are encouraging Torontonians to reduce waste by not using bottled water – the goal this year is to reduce waste by 25 million bottles. During the celebration they are giving away 3,600 free Brita water filter pitchers.


Freebie: Free Mickey Mouse Tote Bag On Earth Day @ Disney Store

You can get a free Mickey Mouse tote bag if you live near a Disney store (big one in the Eaton Centre at Yonge/Dundas). You just have to bring in 3 plastic bottles and they give you your free tote bag. Right on!
