Toronto downtown harborfront is the place to play

Its finally spring! We’re actually able to put away our winter woolies and start to venture outdoors to enjoy some of our fun Toronto events.

Our BoD fans know that we can look for that fun right in the downtown core – and find it – any time of the day or night. If you’re traveling in Toronto and wondering what to do today, even if you’re not too concerned about watching your money, Queens Quay, and the harborfront, always something going on day and night that won’t empty your pocketbook.

Today, Wednesday, May 13, 2009 the Toronto Harborfront has no less than 4 events happening throughout the day (and is the same every other day of the week). From Authors visits to Visual Arts displays to the outdoors market, you can always come down, wander around and find something to enjoy. For a real treat, wander up to the Steam Whistle Brewery – located right across from the nearby CN tower – for a free (or nearly free) brew. Take a tour while you’re there! Why go to a bar when you can visit the source!

Since you’re already close, why not wind the evening up with a trip to Shopsy’s at the corner of Yonge and Front streets for a free pound of wings with the purchase of two drinks starting at 7:30 pm until closing. Or try the other side of Union station at 151 Front where East Side Mario’s offers half-price appetizers Sunday to Thursday from 9 p.m. until close with purchase of an alcoholic beverage. The short trip back to your bed at your favorite Toronto Hostel will be a great way to wear off the indulgences and get ready for Thursday night…Toronto’s real party night!
