Toronto Local Menus for Localicious

So you are visiting Toronto and you want to experience as much authentic Canadiana as possible? Well, you are in luck! Right now 12 Restaurants across Toronto are participating in an event called Localicious.

Localicious, likely modeled after Toronto’s annual Winterlicious, will feature price fixe menus that are comprised of local and sustainable ingredients. Of course locally grown ingredients mean that you are guaranteed to receive an authentic Canadian dining experience. As an added incentive to take part in Toronto’s Localicious, a portion of the money collected from your stellar dining experience will be donated to WWF, the World Wildlife Fund. Toronto Localicious will run until October 18th.

First Course:

Mixed Green Salad with Shaved Fennel, Parmesan and Mushrooms with Lemon Vinaigrette


Beet Root Caprese with Water Buffalo Mozzarella, Olive Tapenade and Basil


Daily Soup with seasonal market ingredients

Second Course:

Chicken Fricassee with Ricotta and Spinach Dumplings, Bacon, Carrots and Mushrooms


Spaghetti and Meatballs* with Kerr Farm Tomato Sauce, Pecorino and Chili


Sexy Simmered Beef Brisket with Roasted Fall Vegetables and Horseradish Cream

*Available as a vegetarian dish without meatballs

Third Course:

Pumpkin Spice Pie with Toasted Mini Marshmallows and Vanilla Ice Cream


Sticky Toffee Pudding with Brown Butter Caramel, Crème Fraiche and Spiced Pecans


Maple Roasted Apple with Nuts, Dried Fruit and Cardamom Ice Cream
